A Farmstead in the Buckinghamshire countryside, the proposal is to provide the conversion of a c.500sqm curtilage-listed agricultural barn to a collection of smaller contemporary offices each of between 40-75sqm. The overall L-shaped layout of the barn is to be retained with latter unsympathetic additions removed to return the building to its original form.
The interiors will be designed to be fully reflective of their new use, whilst respectful to their setting and to the building form accentuating key features such as the stable dividers, vaulted roofs and historic structural elements.
New energy efficient windows and doors will be situated in existing building openings, retaining the original character of the barn, whilst sensitively adapting the elevations to ensure they are suitable for the proposed use. The office interiors will include new lighting, electrics and heating systems with new WC facilities and Tea Points.
