Originally a site allocated for one detached house, this project demonstrates our added value approach whereby good design allied with a carefully managed process can de-risk planning and deliver commercial benefits.
Two individual cottages designed in accordance with Cornwall Design Guide with locally distinctive features and detailing. Built using local granite with render and slate roofs the cottages complete a sensitive infill site between historic 2 storey terraced houses and more recent semi detached bungalows
An off road parking court to the front ensures minimal disruption to the narrow lanes which characterise this part of the County. To the rear, a small brook helps to define each dwelling’s patio outdoor living space with a small footbridge across to the garden. Floor levels reflect flood risk design parameters. Completed in 2024.
