Planning Permission + Listed Building Consent secured for challenging Urban Site in Wiltshire.

Newbury based Architects, Anderson + Prescott are thrilled to announce that planning and listed building consent has been unanimously granted at February’s planning committee for our “Brewery Wharf” residential project on the vacant brownfield site at Wadworth Brewery, Devizes. This is a hugely ambitious and transformative development for 102 high quality and sustainable new private and affordable homes on a challenging urban and historically significant site.

This achievement is a testament to the unwavering determination, creativity, and positivity of our client Backhouse, our talented design team and development partners. Navigating the complexities of the planning process in such a constrained location was no small task. Through resilience, collaboration and a clear vision, Anderson + Prescott led the process of co-ordinating the design with stakeholders and neighbouring land owners creating a joined up masterplan that ensured a permeable, connected and walkable new residential, cultural and leisure neighbourhood for the town.
